Tuesday, February 24, 2009 Panget labs: I hate you. She stared at the horizon, her eyes glistening with tears. She can feel the cool breeze, but it didn't help in making her sadness and anger drift away. How could he forget? It's the most special day in her life. She stood up, ready to leave, when she remembered how her special day became just an ordinary day, so she sat down again, tears forming in her eyes once again. She woke up extra early that morning. She even beautified herself. She applied her newly-bought make-up, styled her hair in a different way and even ironed her uniform all by herself. She made sure she didn't forget her handmade gift as she went to school. Everybody remembered, she thought, and she was happy, of course. But something, or someone, is missing. Since she went to her classroom early, she decided to wait for him. Minutes passed, he's still not there. She started to wait impatiently now, her anger starting to increase. She's not so forgiving when it comes to special days like this. Then, HOURS passed. Maybe he's sick, she thought. Now, she's worried AND angry. KRING! There goes the bell. She quickly fixed her things and started running towards his house. One more block, one more... She stopped dead in her tracks. There he was, leaning against a lamp post. He was posing his signature pose, his hands inside his pockets and his head lowered. She tensed. She knew it. She knew something was wrong. "It was my intention not to go to school today. Wanna know why?" he asked coolly. She fidgeted. "You're sick, right?" she asked. He scowled at her. "NO." he said. "Then, you ran an errand for your mother. Right?" she asked again. He glared at her. "NO!" he yelled at her. She flinched. "Can't you see? I didn't text you on your so-called 'special day', I didn't even go to school today. Do any of those things ring a bell on your little mind?" he asked menacingly. She was so scared of him, that she only managed to shake her head. "UGH. We're through, you hear me? THROUGH!" he yelled. She just stood there, her eyes brimming with tears. Then, all of a sudden, she clenched her fists so tight that her nails almost cut through her palms. She mustered enough kindness to look at him, smiled bitterly and walked up to him. "Really. That's bad." she said, touching his cheek. 3...2... "One." she simply said, then punched him squarely on his face, threw on him her handmade gift and walked away. Even though she was brave enough to do that, deep inside, she was hurt. Badly. Because she knows, everybody who has a heart knows, that nothing hurts more than realizing that a certain person meant everything for you, but you meant nothing to that person. Panget labs: I hate you. I hate you and your irritating ways of making me fall in love with you every single day. Got that? Ja~ |
